The SAM Awards celebrate the most creative and professional work in the Calgary home building industry. Created by the Canadian Home Builders' Association - Calgary Region (CHBA - Calgary Region,) the Sales and Marketing Awards were initiated to recognize quality products and accomplishments.
First introduced at the 1986 President's Ball, the awards recognized products entered in the annual "Parade of Homes". As interest in the awards grew, the program was expanded to include more and more aspects of the home building industry in and around Calgary. Over the years, the name of the Awards was changed to "Awards of Excellence", and separated from the President's Ball to become a stand alone event dedicated to celebrating the best of the best.
Reverting back to the SAM Awards, and experiencing several years of dynamic growth and change, the Awards now incorporate year round competition, plus an evening of celebration involving over 1500 members, their employees and families. With better than 60 awards at stake, the CHBA - Calgary Region SAM Awards are one of the most comprehensive and prestigious of all home building industry awards programs across Canada. Whether a Finalist or Winner, the SAM Awards brand carries recognition as a mark of excellence in the eyes of the industry and public, thus offering a competitive edge worth achieving.
The SAM Awards foster vigorous competition among Association members, which promotes on-going innovation in technical/design, service, sales and marketing; continually raising the bar to the benefit of the industry, consumers and the communities we build and serve.
